Bidding at the Auction
Live Online Bidding
For bidding online, please sign up with one of the following platforms and register for our upcoming auction. We will have an online preview through those platforms as well.
Telephone Bidding
For telephone bidding, please download the telephone bidding registration form and send it back to us at [email protected]. According to our company policy, we will take a $2000 CAD deposit before the bidding.
Absentee Bidding
For absentee bidding, please download the telephone bidding registration form and send it back to us at [email protected]. According to our company policy, we will take a $2000 CAD deposit before the bidding.
On-Floor Bidding
A prospective buyer must complete and sign a registration form and provide identification before bidding. We require bank or other financial references. Bidding as Principal To bid in person, the bidder will need to register for and collect a numbered paddle before the auction begins.
Proof of identity will be required. Should you be the successful buyer of a lot, please ensure that your paddle can be seen by the auctioneer and that it is your number that is called out.
When making a bid, a bidder is accepting personal liability to pay the purchase price, including the buyer‘s premium, all applicable taxes and all other applicable charges
Buyer's Commission
Consider what you are willing to pay for each item before the auction begins; remember to add on 20% (18% if the price over $50,000 CAD) for the buyer's premium. Online bidding is subject to a higher buyer’s premium (25%).
Tax is not paid by the purchaser if it is being shipped out of the country with appropriate shipping receipts. Buying at auctions means it is a final sale so do your homework ahead of time.
If you are considering an antique piece of furniture, be sure to take down measurements to ensure it fits your specifications.
PICK UP AND DELIVERY
Upon payment, you may pick up your purchases at the auction location or arrange to have them shipped.
Pickup hours are Monday-Saturday 10:30AM-6PM EST at our principal location at 1037 McNicoll Ave, Scarborough Ontario M1W 3W6.
